Meet the Photographer

Hey, my name is Deanna

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Jefferson City, Missouri–based photographer specializing in food, products, and portraits. My style ranges from clean and minimalist to dark, cozy, and editorial, depending on what fits your brand or story.

I found food photography while building my own food blog, explored portrait work along the way, and ultimately returned to food—because it’s what sparks my creativity most. I’m a New York Institute of Photography–certified professional photographer with 5+ years of experience.

With a background in pastry, I know how to make food look as good as it tastes—and I create portraits across every season of life with a natural, timeless feel. When I’m not shooting, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen, chasing after my toddler, playing board games with my fiancé, or being supervised by two cats.

Want to work together? Send me a note with what you’re creating, your timeline, and the kind of look you love.

STEP 01

Fill out the form

Start by filling out my contact form with a few details about what you need (project type, date/timeline, location, and the style you’re drawn to). I’ll reply with next steps and a few quick questions if needed.

STEP 02

discovery call

If you’re local to Jefferson City or Columbia, my favorite way to connect is in person over coffee. Otherwise, we’ll hop on a call. We’ll talk goals, usage, must-have shots, and budget—then I’ll send a proposal, timeline, and contract to book your date.

STEP 03

Pre-Production

Once you’re booked, we plan the details: shot list, styling direction, lighting/color notes, and any props/background ideas. For product work, you’ll ship items to me (if needed), and I’ll share mood boards for approval so we’re aligned before shoot day.

STEP 04

Shoot Day

I’ll photograph in my home studio or on location, based on our plan. If you won't be there in person and would like, I can share a few test frames during the shoot for quick confirmation.

STEP 05

delivery

Your final, edited images will be delivered in a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads within the agreed turnaround time—ready for web, social, menus, or print.
